Journey to the Orient with the Arabian Cane Dance.

In keeping with her Palestinian roots, dancer/teacher Nancy Yousef will co-facilitate alongside master teacher Terezka.

In this workshop the traditional Egyptian Folklore dance of Upper Egypt will include authentic cultural influences from Nancy’s Palestinian background, truly embracing the Middle Eastern feeling of this lighthearted, joyous earthy dance.

Participants will be taken through a complex choreography to the infamous ‘Luxor Baladna’ with focus on solid technique, confident cane use and intricate foot work, culminating in the most important yet forgotten aspect of Middle Eastern Dance - embracing the feeling and soul within the music, allowing one to truly dance.
