Coming from Upper Egypt, Saiidi dance is a lively, earthy and energetic dance of folk origins. It is characterised by stick work and can be danced in a duet or troupe form with both men and women.

A favourite dance at festive occasions such as weddings, welcoming parties and harvest festivals.
